Our Team

Ben started working in construction in the early 2000’s, doing work experience with his dad (Noel) on his school holidays before beginning his apprenticeship as a carpenter at just 16. After finishing his qualification, Ben spent the next 10 years working as a carpenter on large commercial sights, working on all aspects of building and construction. Ben also has experience installing commercial signage and cladding. In 2016, Ben went on to Project-Manage the major renovation project at The Forum Theatre in Melbourne for 2 years, supervising up to 100 tradesmen each day. In 2018 Ben returned to the family business to begin his succession plan and eventually in July 2023, he purchased NHI Group off Noel and began his mission to grow and develop the family business. 2018 Ben returned to the family business to begin his career partnership with Noel.

Noel started his first business - NHI Shopfitters PTY LTD back in the late 1980’s working on stores such as Billy Guyatts, Chandlers, Retravision & Sydney Lounge Discounters. Noel then expanded his company which now trades as NHI Group, into a successful and professional business servicing clients all over Australia, New Zealand and Malaysia. After 35 years in the business, he has passed the reigns over to his son Ben.

After finishing his VCE studies in 2011, Alex began an apprenticeship as a staircase builder where he would spend the next 5 years in the domestic industry learning to design, build and install staircases, furniture as well as other aspects of carpentry and joinery. He took on studies after hours to expand his knowledge in the building industry where he eventually moved into the commercial building industry. Here, Alex found his passion for fine detailed carpentry and joinery. Alex began working for NHI in 2017 where he honed his skills in the shopfitting industry and took over the role as production manager in 2023. Alex assists our clients with all their joinery needs from design and manufacture, right through to the installation phase. Alex is in constant contact with suppliers such as Laminex and Polytec to ensure our customers are receiving market leading products at the most competitive rates.

Julie has worked in the Manufacturing and Construction Industry for more than 30 years. She joined NHI Group in 2017 and currently heads up our Maintenance & Facilities team whilst managing our office and administration department.
